Through the Més que mai Gavà platform, local businesses in Gavà experienced an impressive increase in their digital visibility and user engagement. In just one year after our intervention, visits to the platform grew by 88.8%, comparing the five months prior to our proposal launch with the same five months the following year. Additionally, our intervention accelerated the digitalization of businesses, successfully achieving goals to improve visibility, increase user participation, and attract more online and physical traffic to their businesses.

Main Objective of the Project for Més que mai Gavà

The main objective of this project was to strengthen the online presence of Gavà's local businesses by improving the Més que mai Gavà digital platform, optimizing its traffic and visibility for both physical and digital stores promoted on it. This work aligned with Més que mai Gavà's mission to support the digitalization of businesses, enabling them to compete in an increasingly digital environment.

Description of Més que mai Gavà

Més que mai Gavà is a platform designed to boost local businesses in Gavà (a municipality in the province of Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia). Its main goal is to provide digital tools that enhance online visibility, optimize business management, and facilitate consumer connections. Born during the pandemic as a solidarity initiative, it has evolved into a growth engine for local businesses, supporting their digitalization and improving both their digital and physical presence.

Key Challenges of the Project for Més que mai Gavà.

The digital environment was uncertain, and online competition from large companies made it difficult for local businesses to grow. Without adequate digital tools or concrete marketing strategies, businesses lacked a strong presence.Key challenges included:

  • Generating consistent, high-quality traffic: Increasing organic traffic was crucial for success, but maintaining a steady flow of visits was challenging.
  • Lack of effective digital tools: Businesses needed a system to manage their visibility and connect with consumers more efficiently.
  • Technological adoption by businesses: The digital transition was challenging for some merchants who needed training and ongoing support to use the platform's tools effectively.

To address these challenges, we implemented a three-phase strategic methodology:

  1. Platform Optimization: Redesigned the interface to improve user experience (UX), making navigation and access to business information easier.
  2. SEO Strategies: Applied a robust approach to improve SEO for the platform and local SEO for Gavà's businesses, optimizing keywords to enhance search engine rankings and attract more organic traffic.

Before our intervention, local businesses in Gavà faced significant challenges in digital visibility and attracting online customers.In less than a year, we transformed this scenario. Thanks to our optimization strategies, the digitalization of businesses, and efforts to boost online visibility, businesses saw massive increases in platform visits and significant organic traffic growth when comparing April to September 2023 with the same period the following year. Key results include:

  • Visibility and Traffic:
    • 88.8% increase in platform visits, showcasing substantial growth in business visibility.
    • 25.1% growth in unique users, reflecting significant audience expansion.
    • 14.7% increase in organic traffic, driven by SEO optimization and improved search engine rankings.
  • User Interaction:
    • 8.9% growth in sessions, indicating higher user retention.
    • 30.5% growth in organic sessions, demonstrating the impact of SEO strategies in attracting new users.
  • Digitalization of Gavà's Local Businesses:
    • 28.8% growth in businesses with increased organic users, reflecting successful digital tool adoption and wider business reach.
  • Keyword Performance:
    • In December 2024 vs. December 2023, a remarkable 133.3% increase in top 3 keywords, and 35.7% growth in ranks 4-10, showing significant improvements in keyword rankings according to SEMrush.

The results demonstrate a significant impact of Més que mai Gavà on the visibility and digitalization of local businesses. The growth in visits, organic traffic, and user engagement highlights the success of visibility, participation, and traffic growth objectives.
